Now a day's, everyone needs a vacuum cleaner whether you have solid wood floors or carpeting. But, if you have not purchased one in a few years then you would not what advances that they have come up with. When you think of a vacuum cleaner you will probably think of one of the top competitors such as Bissell, Hoover, Sharp, or any number of companies that make these appliances. I chose to go with Hoover because, they are also connected to Whirlpool (who also make vacuums) so that gives you twice the chance that you will get a good product.

Hoover has been around for over 100 years and has been making vacuums the whole entire time as far as I can remember. We purchased this vacuum from Target for $279.00 and the first thing that we noticed is that this was very light. The entire box could not weigh more than 15 pounds. But, if you just happen to see the name "TTI (Techtronic Industries) Floor Care North America" then you will know that they are the ones who are running the show at the Hoover company now.

Description
This does come disassembled in the box, so you will need to get acquainted with it while you put it together. This has an foot operated handle release, an automatic height adjuster, a carry and clean handle, and a handle to help you hold this vacuum up while you are stair cleaning.

This also comes with a very versatile hand held canister vacuum to allow you to clean the for the floor and ceiling. This has the same technology as the wind tunnel vacuum. The Hoover vacuum comes with a self-sealing disposable bag, check bag indicator, tool bracket, telescoping extension wand, floor brush, dusting brush, crevice tool, carry strap for canister vacuum, type Q HEPA bag, type 1 portable canister HEPA bag.

The motor will pull 5.5 amps of electricity, this also has the ability to clean around the edges, a headlight, a direct air system, a 35' un-retractable cord, a 14" nozzle width, weighs only 12 pounds, and the canister is only 5 pounds, a replaceable filter.

On the handle you have the on/off button, the hi/low button, and the check bag indicator. On the back of the vacuum you will see two hook metal hooks to store the cord for storage. Instead of carrying this by the handle like I did all of the other models this one has its own little handle located about half the way down the back. The front plate is the bag door and can be removed to have full access to the bag area. At the bottom in the front of the bag compartment area you will see the headlight. On the lower right side you will see a little pedal, when this is pressed it will release the handle from the locked upright position and release it to a working position.  Around the whole outer edge, this vacuum has a rubber furniture guard, and just below that if you flip this upside down you can see the edge groomers and beater brush.

Experience
This would not be a good tool if you did not have something to put together, there is only minimal assembly that is required to put this into working order. All you have to do is just pop the handle in the top and use the provided screw to secure it into place. Other than wrapping the cord up that is the only thing that you will have to do the first time that you decide to use this vacuum.

Once assembled all you have to do is hit the power button, this might seem quite loud at first but you get used to it when you see how much power that this has. Your new vacuum is very easy to maneuver and will pick up all kind of stuff, such as screws and big balls of dog hair. This will make splinter out of little twigs and gravel out of stones. That is how powerful that this is.

When you need to do your spot cleaning, the little hand held unit that comes with this is when it will shine. At only two pounds you can take this everywhere even in the car. The only problem that you will have is that, this is not totally portable. You have to be in the area where you have electrical power.

Both of these do an excellent job on any floor that we have use them on. We have used this everyday for about six months and as of yet we are still filling the bag. This bag sure holds a lot of dog hair and with the HEPA filter system that this has, you will not have to worry about anything coming through the filter system. When this does all you have to do is look for the little red light on the front telling that it is full.

Conclusion
I can positively recommend that this vacuum will succeed in meeting your expectations, at least it did for me. This comes with a 6 year warranty, but only for household use not for construction jobs. This has made it through everything that we have used it on. Big or small spills from gravel, dirt, sand, plus dog or cat hair will not stand in its way. You will suck the hair right out from underneath your fridge, and from the coils and the stove. You also will not see and residue or dust left behind after you finish vacuuming. Five stars for this vacuum.
