A new favorite in my beauty toolshed!

Something tells me I am not the only female on a lifelong hunt for the perfect moisturizer. I probably went through at least ten different brands before I started paying attention to ingredients and trying more natural moisturizers. My latest find is this JASON Vitamin E Oil I bought on drugstore.com.

Now, after having a baby almost a year ago (gasp!) my beauty routine has been drastically simplified. Though it was never that complex in the first place. I use this oil immediately after washing my face before bed. I don't recommend it for the morning routine because anyone you encounter will mistake you for a greasy potato. It takes some time to absorb and do its thing. I just use clean fingers to apply it, a cotton ball would work but it would absorb a lot of the oil. I don't use foundation or powder, so it is important for my skin to naturally look great and I found this to be the best healthy glow moisturizer ever! This little bottle will probably last me more than a year, that's how little of it you need. It goes a loooonnng way, so don't let the price of $7.49 for 4 ounces fool you. Plus you can often find it on sale. I can't stand perfumey lotion smells, this on the other hand is delicious! Almond croissant anyone? If that's not enough, it has a great rating on the Skin Deep Database

This is amazing for dry skin, especially in the winter. Though it might work even for oily skin. How do you ask? Recently I read somewhere that stripping oily skin of its oil only makes the issue worse and makes it prone to acne. The best way to control oily skin may quite possibly be with natural oils, ironically. Many people who tried this product on oily skin have actually mentioned that it really helped them and completely changed their skin.

Aside from using it as a facial moisturizer, JASON Vitamin E Oil has other great uses:
  • Treatment for sunburn
  • A scar treatment
  • Preventing pregnancy stretch marks
  • As body moisturizer
  • An aftershave for sensitive skin
  • Naturally reduce fine lines and wrinkles over time
  • An eye makeup remover
  • An acne treatment
  • Anti-frizz for dry curly hair
So no matter what kind of skin you have, dry, combination, or oily - this product is worth a try. You might find yourself amazed at the results and wondering why you haven't discovered it earlier!

After reading about the wonders of this, I tried to find it at my local drugstores, but to no avail.  Looks like I'm going to have to check out drugstore.com.  Thanks for the tip and for this fantastic review, Anastasia! :)

Hi Devora - you could also find it at IHerb.com; a great site for healthy products at very reasonable prices.

I recently started using this and wonder why I ever used lotion. For my dry skin this oil rocks. Absorbs well and leaves skin silky smooth!
