As a J.C. Penney customer for decades I was shocked and dismayed to hear about the company's shameless promotion of "gay marriage" in their Father's Day commercials. There is a time and place for everything. I for one am sick and tired of having this issue shoved down my throat at every turn. I have taken the scissors to my J.C. Penney card and will longer shop there. Enough already!

You lead an enviably cushy life if an ad with two men is enough to dismay you. Try being told that you are a second-class citizen and a substandard person who does not deserve your society's recognition of your love, a recognition that would be yours without controversy if you were not somehow different (black, gay, whatever the dominant culture deems lesser). Then you'd have something to be sick of.

About once a month I spend a part of my Saturday morning browsing at the local J.C.
