Summary: I met Elvis, Bob Hope, Lucy, Desi, Red Buttons, Marilyn Monroe, George Burns, Sally Field, Tom Jones, Johnny Carson, Angie Dickenson, Orson Welles, Pat Boone, Debbie Reynolds, Elizabeth Taylor, Joan Collins, Tony Curtis, Fred Astaire, Paul Newman, Peter Lorre, Burl Ives, Warren Beatty, Clint Eastwood, Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn, Lauren Bacall and a lot of other famous people. Oh, and Larry Hagman is a jerk. The end.
That's pretty much what you'll find in this autobiography -- nonstop and pointless name-dropping on every page and while she claims to admire co-star Larry Hagman, she destroys him personally and professionally. Barbara writes endlessly of her innocence and virtue and reels off a never-ending list of stars who made passes at her which makes her sound conceited. And all the important events in her life are prematurely described in her introduction.
She's certainly known great sorrow in her life, but overall, the story is glossy and shallow.
