Prejudging is dangerous.

Malouf reviews a plethora of reasons why people focus
on negativities like prejudging. Sometimes, prejudging
reflects our deep insecurities and fears. The author goes
further to offer model behaviors in order to protect
ourselves against unwarranted or unjust attacks.

Examples of what to do include setting up boundaries
or moats to ward off attacks. In addition, we should
find time to contemplate a wise course of action instead
of firing back other mindless and ill-conceived attacks.

The author encourages us to do a self analysis to determine
what creates the fears or anxieties that seem to keep returning.
Very often, these fears pertain to past hurts because people
rarely if ever focus negatively on their successes or triumphs.

Overall, Malouf's book shows us how to cope successfully
with the negative people and aspects of our lives in order
to direct our energies to more positive endeavors. The author
deals forthrightly with the classic biases like prejudice due to
group affiliation or membership. This book is a must read for
anyone dealing with anger management issues!
