< read all 1 reviewsKiehl's best-selling body cream Creme de Corps is amazing — though you'd never know it if you've only tried it once. There are so many initial off-putting things about it: it smells chemical-y, and the texture is almost rubbery. On the first couple of uses, I felt as if I had just dipped myself into a vat of rendered animal fat. *shudder*
But if you use Creme de Corps regularly on a long-term basis (about a week), you'll notice that it works better and better over time. The cream takes time to absorb, but once my skin got used to it, I felt soft and silky for days. I notice my skin takes on this deeply buttery, elastic texture that just isn't replicated with any other moisturizer I've tried.
I wouldn't have known anything about Creme de Corps if a friend hadn't gifted me with a bottle. Feeling guilty about his expensive purchase, I started using it … if only to get rid of it. Now I'm about to buy my second bottle.
It still doesn't smell great, but the scent does go away after it's absorbed, so I really don't notice it after awhile. If you really want an effective moisturizer (especially in these winter months), Kiehl's Creme de Corps is one that's not to be overlooked.
