Lady Killer by Lisa Scottoline

  • Jul 5, 2010

Mary DeNunzio is the protagonist of Lisa Scottoline's novel called Lady Killer. Scottoline's heroine is a strong female that readers can relate to named Mary DeNunzio.  Known as a tough Philadelphia attorney, DeNunzio  has been a straight A student and president of the Latin club in high school, but had to deal with a bully named Trish Gambone. Trish gets into a heap of trouble and needs assistance. So she calls upon Mary for help. May ends up getting dragged along for mishaps she never expected and some new people along the way. Trish wants to be cleared of murder and does not think anyone else will believe or help her out. Mary feels pressure from people in her old neighborhood and from high school to help Trish out. She knows is she does not help Trish then she may end up in trouble herself. Since her past with Trish was not very good,  she feels obligated to assist her with this request. She wants to make amends with what went wrong in the past. I highly recommend this book. You get mystery, suspense, friendship, and romance all in one with this book. You will not be able to put it down.
