Lands' End Canvas..swimwear perfect for CollegeFashionista

I remember shopping at Lands' End when I was child and have the image of bland, boring clothes stuck in my head. There was nothing special to look at just racks and racks of your everyday basics. So, when I heard about the launch of Lands' End Canvas I was a bit skeptical of what this line would entail. I have to admit, it's a definite step in the right direction compared to Lands' End and their swimwear is actually would caught my attention. It reminded me of pieces from J.Crew but at a much lower price point.

There are also some basic Heritage Oxford shirts, that I can see college students wearing around campus. At a moderately low price point, I think Lands' End Canvas might have a fighting chance. Everything these days is about revamping and modifying the old, so let's hope Lands' End pulls it off!

Whoa, did not know that Lands' End introduced this cute line of clothes! I had always felt the same way and saw it as a frumpy line of casual, travel clothes because that's the kind of stuff my parents shopped their catalog for. I'll have to take a peek the next time I receive a catalog from them instead of tossing it straight into the recycle :P Thanks for the heads up!

I have been a Lands' End shopper since the 1980s. It's a nice place for preppy basics, the quality is generally solid, and the customer service is absolutely sterling. The 'return anything anytime' guarantee is not mere marketing gimmick; they really do take it back.    Which I, you know, try not to abuse, but in recent years way too many of my purchases were getting mailed straight back, unworn. Too frumpy. Too dated. This is a beautiful sweater but I'll come back for it when …

About this topic

Wiki

Lands' End is a clothing retailer based in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, that specializes in casual clothing, luggage, and home furnishings. The majority of Lands' End's business is conducted through mail order and Internet sales, but the company also runs more than a dozen retail operations, primarily in the Upper Midwest, along with international shops in the United Kingdom, Germany and Japan.

Lands' End is famous for its "Guaranteed. Period." policy, which allows for returns or exchanges at any time and for any reason.

In November 2009, Lands' End launched a new line called "Canvas." These clothes feature the same quality as the regular line but with an extra preppy flair, very similar to the style of J.Crew.
