The LoCash Cowboys stormed the stage at the Dusty Armadillo in Rootstown, OH this past Saturday night and literally exploded with a higher, newer and fresher energy that I could even believe was possible. The air was electrifying with the highest energy I’ve seen in shows I’ve attended in the past and I heard the same comment from many of the fanatic “Lunatics” that make up their rabid fan base.
There were fans from all over - Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Indiana – and I am sure other states that I personally was not aware of, as this fan base typically travels miles and miles to attend a show and spend a few minutes of “picture prime time” afterwards with the boys.
When talking with the boys after the show, the reason was as I suspected – absolutely wonderful things are happening and will continue happening after being signed with their new label “Average Joe’s Entertainment”. Their excitement in joining the label is as exhilarating as our excitement in the audience as they danced, sang, connected with, and pranced for us while playing some of their new music due out on their new CD in June.
“Chase A Little Love” and “Love Drunk” were a couple of favorites of mine but then so was “The Best Seat In The House”, a song written for and dedicated to Chris’s father who passed too soon. Being able to relate to the song and the event surrounding the writing of it I found it impossible to keep a dry eye during their delivery of the song.
Their repertoire included such songs as “Bounce”, “You Gonna Fly” (Keith Urban) and of course “Truck Yeah” (Tim McGraw). They also delivered a few crowd-pleasing favorite covers during their 2 ½ hour show and not once took a break from the incredible energy they were expending on stage.
As usual they have an impressive tour schedule that is only getting longer and more crowded so if the LoCash Cowboys come to your neck of the woods or even within flying or driving distance for you, be sure to catch a show or 3 or 4, maybe 7 or 8 – they will rock you, croon you, entertain you and love you as no other band in the land can!! Enjoy!! Wear comfortable shoes – put your favorite beverage in hand because you will sing along until you are dry –and live the newest experience of the LoCash Cowboys!
