LoCash Cowboys Rockin' Out Cancer!

The LoCash Cowboys from Nashville TN were Rockin' Out Cancer Saturday night in Columbus OH, home of the OSU  Buckeyes!

In Columbus OH there is a marvelous foundation – Rockin’ Out Cancer – started and run by Tony Pasco and Brian Scheskey who are doing everything they can to help eradicate this unwelcome nasty disease. One of their functions last night was a fundraiser concert where 100% of the proceeds are to be split between the famous James Cancer Hospital on the great Ohio State University campus and a family who is fighting the fight of their lives with cancer. Rockin’ Out Cancer can be found at www.rockinoutcancer.org.

Last night was a huge success with their concert at the Bluestone in downtown Columbus OH and the LoCash Cowboys were not only the featured guests, but were instrumental in raising thousands of dollars for the main event of saving lives.

The doors opened at 4:00 PM and the first band, Loose Connection, took the stage around 6:00 PM.  They are a band well versed in good classic/hard rock music and are based out of NW Ohio and have opened for Blue Oyster Cult and The Godz in years past.  You can locate them at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Loose-Connection-Band/311274034275.

The second band of the evening was The DiVide, a premier show band in Columbus OH who covers all genres from pop, disco, rock, metal and country.  They opened their show with a little bit of Elvis and had the audience dancing with the first song!  They were a perfect opener to the headliner LoCash Cowboys from Nashville, TN. You can read about The DiVide at http://thedivideband.com/fr_bio.cfm.

The headliners, the LoCash Cowboys, a long-time favorite of mine and many more took the stage by storm and kept the audience in the palms of their hands throughout the entire show! It was wonderful hearing “Here Comes Summer”, “Keep In Mind” (dedicated to Chris’ Dad in heaven) and the newest release “You Got Me”.   They rounded out the show with all our favorites from their road CD’s and a few covers we always love to hear!  It was Preston’s birthday so there was some birthday celebration going on as well as a huge thank you from LoCash to their Street Team Army members who worked hard to get “You Got Me” to the top of Blair Garner’s “After Midnite” Tweet of the Week where the winner was played at 12:12 AM on Blair’s show which is broadcast across the land! Wonderful airplay and we of the Army were as thrilled as Chris and Preston at winning the first contest!

LoCash donated a specially designed guitar to be raffled off at the end of the concert and that raffle raised a cool $2000.00 when all bids were in! If they ever decide to put down the guitars (and we hope they never will do that!) Chris and Preston could become auctioneers – they have a talent for that as well!

The evening was one of celebration for sure – birthdays, donations for cancer, survivors in the audience and the best music north of Nashville last night!  Find the LoCash Cowboys at www.locashcowboys.com as well as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.

January 20th was the date for the return of the LoCash Cowboys to the great state of OH-IO (thanks for always remembering, Chris!) and what a way to start out the first month of the year!  The venue was the Adelphia Music Hall and Gallery Restaurant (wonderful nachos folks!) on the Ohio River in the heart of historic downtown Marietta OH.  The Adelphia/The Gallery is a combination music venue and excellent restaurant operated by some gracious and very friendly managers and showcases …
