Nice imaging, good camera for video chat. Wide angle is nice for family chat.

This camera has pretty good image quality and adjusts well for low-light making the images bright and less grainy. The 2MPs definitely help with the performance as well as the Carl Zeiss lens. The autofocus is pretty good for regular movements, but won't capture very quick movements without some delay and blurring. It also depends on the quality of your internet connection.

The wide angle lens is a plus as it's nice for family chat for more than one person. It supports the 16:9 ratio which most people use nowadays. The audio quality is ok, picks up external sounds too. Again the audio quality also depends a little on the internet connection. There is a newer model out for those who want even better picture quality and smoother video Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 with 1080p Video but it is a little more expensive.

Logitech competes with itself. Altough webcams are near commoditity items these days, Logitech keeps raising the bar. With th QuickCam Pro 9000, they have produced an affordable, very high quality webcam that could make web conferencing an everyday, comfortable reality.     There are only a few facts that matter about this product:     1. Lens resolution is tack sharp.   2. Autofocus works very well.   3. Audio from the built-in microphone …

Yeah, Casa Duffbert's been stocking up on the tech toys recently. The latest gadget to get a try-out is the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000. I've tried other webcams in the past, and they've not been a permanent part of my environment. This one might just change that trend...    The QuickCam is designed to sit on top of your terminal or laptop lid using a rather cool design. The back swivels out and allows you to prop the webcam in just about any angle you can imagine. It took me …

Logitech Webcam Pro 9000
Be there with the world's best-selling HD webcam

The exact shade of brown in your grandson's eyes. The dimple in your mom's cheek. Everyone's excited about HD. Logitech was the first to bring HD-capable webcams to the market. And the Webcam Pro 9000 makes being together online more real than ever. Whether you make a live video call to faraway family and friends, or record and upload your HD videos to YouTube, Logitech makes it easy to be there in crystal-clear detail.

Smoother HD Video
HD webcams capture video in crisp, clear 720p resolution. But that's not the whole picture. Video is a moving series of images or frames. The higher the frames per second, the smoother the video. At a lower frame rate, say 10 frames per second (fps), you may see some strange things. Lips out of sync with words. Jerky head movements. That's why Logitech HD webcams consistently deliver HD video at a much higher frame rate. While some webcams say they have HD, only Logitech HD webcams make your videos both clear and smooth.
