Macs just LOOK cooler.

I cannot lie. The real reason I have a Mac instead of a PC is because I go to an art school, and keeping up appearances is important.  Macs are just cuter.  I have a white MacBook with a tie-dye sticker on the back, through which the little apple symbol illuminates.

Lol, I'm not going to go into the fact that it has a Unix core, you're too pretty to be bothered with the details.

A very honest confession/review, Sophia. I got the same MacBook, originally for better compatibility with the iPhone. Now, I won't go back. No crashes, problems, or viruses. And, with Apple's free Bootcamp program I have a small space with Windows for some uses. So, with the best of both worlds; I'll stick with the Mac.

Haha, I've been considering getting a Dell Mini, but I also want a Mac notebook for the same reason -- the Mac's just cuter!  I'm no art student though :P

I think your input might be appreciated in this thread :)

I bought my 13 inch mac laptop a few months ago because I loved how it looked. My boyfriend has a 15 inch laptop and I always preferred it over any other. I was kind of turned off by the product when I realized that Mac owners need to be wealthy because mostly everything has to be bought. And as a poor college student, just the laptop was a huge investment. Macs are great fun but like I said, very very expensive. Another thing that was a huge turn off is that Macs aren't great for gaming. There …

Macintosh, commonly nicknamed Mac, is a brand name which covers several lines of personal computers designed, developed, and marketed by Apple Inc. The Macintosh 128K was released on January 24, 1984; it was the first commercially successful personal computer to feature a mouse and a graphical user interface rather than a command line interface.

Through the second half of the 1980s, the company built market share only to see it dissipate in the 1990s as the personal computer market shifted towards IBM PC compatible machines running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows. Apple consolidated multiple consumer-level desktop models into the 1998 iMac all-in-one, which was a sales success and saw the Macintosh brand revitalized. Current Mac systems are mainly targeted at the home, education, and creative professional markets. They are: the aforementioned (though upgraded) iMac and the entry-level Mac Mini desktop models, the workstation-level Mac Pro tower, the MacBook, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro laptops, and the Xserve server.

Production of the Mac is based on a vertical integration model in that Apple facilitates all aspects of its hardware and creates its own operating system that is pre-installed on all Macs. This is in contrast to most IBM PC compatibles, where multiple vendors create hardware intended to run another company's software. Apple exclusively produces Mac hardware, choosing internal systems, designs, and prices. Apple does use third party components, however; current ...
