   The Magic Kingdom started it all at Disney World, opening on October 1st,1971.      This is the place where everyone is a kid again and the imagination reigns supreme.      The folks at Disney excel at storytelling and this place is an example of some of their finest work. What? That is blasphemy! How can you say that? Before you riot against me and boycott the site let me explain... One thing I have learned over the years from being a parent and from having a very strong willed little princess is how to keep the peace. We joke all the time and actually found a shirt that says "Irish Temper Italian Attitude". The Magic Kingdom is a theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida. The first park built at the resort, it opened on October 1, 1971. The park saw an estimated 17 million visitors in 2008, making it the most visited theme park in the world.

Designed and built by WED Enterprises (now known as Walt Disney Imagineering), the park's layout and attractions are similar to Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California.
