Pacquiao Gets Comfortable Win Over Bradley

Tonight (4-12-14), the WBO Welterweight Title was on the line between
Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley. Few pundits thought
that Bradley could prevail before the fight.

Pacquiao won Rounds 2,3,6-10 and 12 while Bradley captured
Rounds 1,4,5 and 11. The cards were 116:112; 116-112; 118-110
all in favor of the winner - Manny Pacquiao. This fight wasn't quite
a landslide; however, Pacquiao got a solid win mostly due to his
persistence, aggressiveness and continuous punching power in
the ring.

Pacquiao closed Round 2 with a good left hand. He won Round 6
because Bradley slowed down significantly. Pacquiao showed the
initiative in Round 8 and pulled away in Rounds 9 and 10. Pacquiao
scored well in Round 12 with solid hooks.

Bradley closed Round 1 stronger. He took Rounds 4 and 5 with
more aggressiveness and closed Round 5 with a strong right hand.
Bradley probably won the 11th round with random punching from
the outside. Pacquiao closed big in Round 7 and took the initiative in
Round 8.

This fight was nothing for Bradley to be ashamed of since he fought
a highly competitive fight. Pacquiao was simply busier and more assertive
at key junctures in the fight like Round 2;  6-10 and 12.The Pacquiao win
will have fight enthusiasts talking more about a potential matchup with
Floyd Mayweather, Jr. at some point. Only time will tell whether or not this
long-awaited fight can take place some time late this year or early next year.

Glad for Pacquiao and I hope his camp and Mayweather's can work out their differences while the two fighters are still relevent!

You are right on target. Marquez could force an earlier showdown with Mayweather because he beat Pacman in the last fight. In any event, it's going to be tough to beat Mayweather between now and retirement time. Marquez simply doesn't have Mayweather's timing. A Mayweather/Pacquiao fight would be interesting; however, most people I've talked to seem to give Mayweather the nod. A lot of people think that Mayweather will retire undefeated.I think that this may turn out to be the case.
