Melodia is an unnofficial holiday that was invented by Duc Truong.  It's a holiday that celebrates Music and it's power to benefit the world in a positive way.  It's also a holiday devoted to celebrating what we (humanity) have in common,  as opposed to our differences. The word 'Melodia' was invented by putting together the two words "Melody" and  "Dia" (spanish word for 'day').  The offical food of "Melodia" (because every holiday needs one)  is Lavender flavored Ice Cream or Gelato.   It is the hope of the inventor that Melodia becomes an official holiday and is celebrated all over the world.  In his own words Mr. Truong says:  "I envision a holiday that celebrates not just our universal love of music, but celebrates the spirit of humanity. Music has the power to move us, to inspire us, and to change the world in many positive ways... it deserves to have a Holiday in it's honor, and we need a holiday that the whole world can celebrate together".  Melodia is celebrated on August 1st.
