Metabolism Miracle- 3 Easy Steps To Regain Control Of Your Weight by Diane Kress RD, CDE is a considerable work on how to deal effectively with a host of metabolic issues utilizing simple dietary steps. Diane Kress discusses the classic metabolic problem markers which include lack of energy, mild depression, anxiety, cravings for sweets, heavy midsection and extreme sensitivity to bright lights.

Patients with a poor metabolism have a pancreatic overreaction which releases excess insulin to
handle the increased level of blood glucose. An optimal metabolism happens when the pancreas
releases the exact amount of insulin to handle increments in blood glucose levels.  There are
specific trouble indicators for a poor metabolism. These triggers include hormonal changes,
great stress, chronic pain, blood pressure medications, overweight and inactivity.

The treatment goal is to rest the pancreas so that the liver releases less glycogen.
Thereafter, blood lipid and tryglyceride levels improve, fat cells shrink and the insulin keys
fit into the receptors perfectly.

Diane Kress cites good dietary substitutes for sugar and fats. These substitutes include
lean protein, fewer carbs and low sugar snacks. Lean protein consists of white turkey meat,
sirloin, tuna, whiting, clam, crab, scallops, low fat cottage cheese, egg whites, tofu and
unsweetened soy milk. There is a formula associated with providing a better carbs
metabolism. This formula is : Total carb grams less dietary fiber grams= Net carb grams.

Diane Kress covers snack time also. Good junk food substitutes are almonds, string cheese,
strawberry protein shakes, lite beer and peanut butter with celery sticks. Regular beer is not allowed.

wonderful book which explains the dynamics of an optimal metabolism, as well as
strategies to achieve this optimality without difficulty or deprivation. The presentation includes
appropriate food and dietary modifications to normalize the metabolism. Achieving an optimal
metabolic state would be difficult to achieve without this book or a similar one. Lastly,
this effort should be coordinated with your physician or medical care provider.
