Last Wednesday (January 23) marked the 88th day since Microsoft launched Windows 8 here in Malaysia. Danny Ong, Chief Marketing & Operating Officer for Microsoft Malaysia shares with us about the adoption rate of the operating system.Adoption of Windows 8 continues to build steadily in Malaysia and across Asia-Pacific, with the region now one of the fastest-growing markets in the world for Windows 8. App development for this OS has also been strong, with more developers now coming up with apps for Windows 8.

Microsoft to End Windows 7 RTM Support on April 9, 2013.
Microsoft is reminding users of Windows 7 RTM  that support is ending on April 9, 2013, which is less than two months away. This comes roughly 24 months after the release of Windows 7 Service Pack 1, and is consistent with Microsoft’s usual support practice for Windows. This will continue till January 13, 2015, as long as you’ve the supported service pack. Skype to Replace Windows Live Messenger on March 15
Microsoft sent out a mass email to its 100 million+ Messenger users that the Windows Live Messenger service will officially retire on 15th March 2013.According to The Verge, several sources claim that Microsoft will be retiring the Windows Live Messenger service in the coming months.
