Microsoft announced Windows Phone 7.8 Update Arriving in Early 2013

Existing Windows Phone (WP) 7.5 users will be getting the WP7.8 update in early 2013. The announcement was made by Microsoft via its WP blog. As a recap, the WP7.8 update will have the following features:

New Smart screen where you can resize the Live Tiles
New theme colors and accent colors
New lock screen features such as the option to automatically display the Bing Picture of the Day

We still like Windows 8, but this is useful for those of you that don't.

If your PC comes with Windows 8 Pro, you can downgrade to Windows 7 Pro just by installing it on top of your existing OS.You'll need a legitimate disc and product key, but you can just use an old or used one—after you install, you can call Microsoft and they'll activate your downgrade for you.
