"Come Fly With Me" is the name of the third episode of the ABC series Modern Family. It premiered on ABC in the United States on October 7, 2009. The episode was written by Dan O'Shannon and directed by Jason Winer. Jay tries to spend some time alone with his model airplane, but Phil ruins it; Alex and Gloria go to a mall and Gloria tries to convince Alex to wear a dress to a wedding; Mitchell goes to Costco for the first time in his life. Jay hits Phil with his model airplane on purpose, but later apologizes.
Phil pushes Jay to go out with him and fly his new model plane. While Phil gets his moment with Jay, the encounter does not end up as he wishes: Jay buzzes Phil with the plane and as the credits roll, the model plane crashes into Phil's face. While Manny takes time out to play with Luke, Gloria accompanies Alex in shopping for a dress.
Mitchell and Cameron goes shopping at Costco, but Mitchell feels that he is too good to shop there. On the trip, Cameron introduces Mitchell to wholesale pricing, which excites Mitchell and the pair end up buying multiple baskets of goods.
Later on, Manny ends up having a heart-to-heart talk with his sister Claire.
At the end, Gloria reveals to Jay that she used to dress up Manny like a girl when he a was baby; when Manny found the pictures, Gloria had said it was his twin sister who had died.
