A delicious cake made of Mounds coconut

If you don't hate coconuts, you must must must try this cake. It is the most delicious dessert I've had in forever.

Mounds Cake

For the cake you'll need:

- 1 box chocolate cake mix

- 1 small bag of mini marshmallows

- 1 cup, white sugar

- 1 small can, pet milk (5 oz.)

- 1 cup Mounds coconut (not the bar, the bag of coconut)

- 1 tbsp. coconut flavoring

For the topping you'll need:
- 1 cup white sugar

- 5 tbsp. butter

- 1/3 cup pet milk

- 6 oz. chocolate chips

Cake:

1. Prepare cake mix as directed on the box. Bake in a 9x13 pan at 350 degrees.

2. Melt the mini marshmallows, cup of white sugar, and small can of pet milk on medium heat. Stir constantly till melted.

3. Take off heat and add the cup of Mounds coconut and tablespoon of coconut flavoring.

4. Punch holes in cake while hot, and pour coconut mixture over cake.

Topping:

1. Bring all ingredients to a boil. Boil for one minute.

2. Then add chocolate chips and beat with mixer. Spread over cake.

3. Gain 10 pounds.

Holy my gosh, this recipe sounds dangerous! I would've never thought about using Mounds, or any candy bar for that matter, to make a cake. The only thing that I'd change about this recipe is that I'd make my own marshmallows using Thomas Keller's marshmallow recipe. Thanks for sharing! :)

This looks fantastic. I wish I would have seen this before the holidays, when I went on a baking extravaganza. Mounds candy bar? I love. But this cake, which also introduces marshmallows? Uh, wow!
