Women's New Balance W991 Sneakers - A good fit for the price.
Jan 8, 2010
Product: New Balance W991
I believe these sneakers have actually been discontinued and they're still very hard to find. I bought mine from a small sneaker store in China Town (NY) and I should say that these are my second pair.
To all of you women out their who are horribly cripp;ed with flat feet that turn out at 45-degree angles when you walk... this one's for you.
The New Balance W991 sneakers do not make you feel as if you are walking on air but they are pretty comfortable and somewhat stylish... for the price. You can find a pair of these online or in specialty sneaker shops for about $50.00 - $80.00. And they're a bit popular among the preppy/sophisticated set of women in NY (if you live in New York, you're bound to see a few girls per day wearing North Face denali jacket fleeces and W991s on their feet... especially on the Upper East Side).
And supposedly, the W991s are good for people who "over-prononate", which means that you extend/stretch your heel out first when you walk... I don't know about that... this might just have been some hog-wash that the sales clerk fed me to get the sale.
Anyway, they're comfortable and stylish enough for the price, supposed to be good for flat-footed women. And as grey is a nuteral color, they're definitely a must-have for your closet.
