Who would believe there is a golf club for everyone... with all the new golf club designs out there there definitely is, and for me it's the Nike Sumo SQ5900 9.5 degree driver.
I was a little hesitant to hit a driver that deviated from the typical smooth-lined, rounded club. With it's square chassis, who could think such a design would be 'hittable'. And by hittable, I mean something that gave me the confidence to swing out of my shoes - or close to it - everytime; as most golfers know confidence is a big part of the game when you're out there four plus hours trying to figure out why you can't smack that golf ball the same way every time. Yet, oddly enough, bold confidence is the feeling I get when I step up to the tee with this driver because I know the golf ball will travel in a straight path, hopefully in the right direction.
Of course, I was hitting this club so well, I forgot to mention this was all because someone - with initials JR - let me try his Sumo driver on the second tee. After that, I was hooked - no pun intended. Props JR... peace...
Now I've only played with this club a couple of months, and in a a few more, this review may change, but somehow I get the feeling this club fits my swing type. So I would recommend this club to anyone ready to make a driver change, which is usually often, or even someone willing to take a sporting chance on a club with tight lines, and an aggressive look and feel.
