While I believe the cause is just and the complaint is valid at its core, I doubt how chaos and disorder could affect change. They are indeed expressing their grievances but expression is not the same to coming with a solution, since without the offer of a solution, any grievance would potentially be seen as fruitless. Please keep in mind that this quick tip is more about the recent riot and not what movement stands for since I do agree with some of the things they are fighting for.

It is quite sad that the real protestors may have been joined by others with no other goals than to promote anarchy, chaos and riots. Like when the Giants won the World Series last Year, I laughed as some people who never cared about the team before just joined the bandwagon, but this is way more serious. It is the same in this movement, as some people joined the protest, just so they can have an excuse and in doing so they damage the movement. I do not think the riots are a product of the real protestors since there are groups of protestors who stood guard over the small business establishments damaged by the riots to keep anyone from looting.

I did have mixed feelings as to how they seemed to keep truck drivers trying to make a living but I heard it was just until 9 am.

Chaos and riots will only hurt the goals of the movement. Funny how "Occupy SF" is much more orderly.....I think tempers just flared up more in Oakland....
