An easier way to wash your face!

I’ve tried many different types of facial cleansers, but I’ve found my perfect match with Olay Daily Facial Cloths for sensitive skin.

  • These cloths are extremely easy to transport. Whether I am traveling or just staying overnight at a friend’s place, these cloths are very easy to carry with you. I don’t have to worry about the weight of a bulky cleanser bottle when I’m flying (no carry-on problems) or the hassle of having liquid explode all over my suitcase and clothes. The cloths are lightweight and have a handy resealable label (no messing around with pumps that leak).

  • The daily cloths are made for sensitive skin (which I have). There is no alcohol or harsh anti-aging chemicals that make your skin red, dry or flaky. The cloths are wet and contain aloe for softening your skin and vitamin E for moisturizing. They leave my skin feeling smooth and moisturized, almost as if I’ve had a facial.

  • The cloths also provide a much better clean than regular liquid cleansers. They are made with a “lift & lock” technology that holds dirt and makeup on the cloth, rather than just pushing it around your face. It’s actually amazing to see the amount of dirt & makeup you can remove. It even removes waterproof mascara. This intense cleaning is better for your skin and prevents unwanted facial blemishes.

  • You don’t need to rinse with water when you use these cloths. There’s no wiping away the  cleanser. With the cloths it’s just one easy step. This also means you can use them anywhere and anytime (even while you’re out). And it’s not like you feel sticky or greasy residue on your face because you aren’t washing with water. Your skin feels soft and fresh.

  • Many people may feel deterred from using cloths because they think the cloths are poor quality or that the cloths don’t last as long as bottled cleansers. My solution is to cut each cloth in half. This turns 30 cloths into 60 (which is a great deal for $3.95). The size of one full cloth is too big anyway (you don’t need that much to get the job done unless you’re Lady Gaga).

Overall, the best facial cleaner I’ve found to truly clean and moisturize your skin. This cleanser line also offers other variations including cloths with extra hydration, formulas for normal, combination, or dry skin.

Sounds like a good alternative to regular cleansers. How effective is it if you were to use it on a regular basis? Would you recommend it to replace normal cleansing solutions? I like rinsing my face with water though. It feels much cleaner, may be it's psychological.

Oil of Olay Daily Facial Cloths cleanse and remove dirt and makeup from sensitive skin. A typical package includes 30 cleanser cloths per packet and a reseal-able label for safe storage and to lock moisture in.  Sensitive skin cloths include aloe and Vitamin E for moisturizing and soothing skin.

A cleanser is a facial care product that is used to remove make-up, dead skin cells, oil, dirt and other types of pollutants from the skin of the face. This helps to unclog pores and prevent skin conditions such as acne.

Many people use a cleanser once or more times a day as part of their skin care regimen together with a toner and moisturizer.

Using a cleanser to remove dirt is considered to be a better alternative to bar soap or another form of skin cleanser not specifically formulated for the face for the following reasons:

Bar soap has a high pH (in the area of 9 to 10), and skin's natural pH is 5.5. This means that soap can change the balance present in the skin to favor the overgrowth of some types of bacteria, exacerbating acne.

Bar cleansers in general, soap or not, have thickeners that allow them to assume a bar shape can clog pores, leading (once again) to acne.

Using bar soap on the face can remove natural oils from the skin that form a barrier against water loss. This causes the sebaceous glands to subsequently overproduce oil, a condition known as reactive seborrhoea, which will lead to clogged pores. Conversely, in order ...
