While I am certainly no fan of President Obama I do agree with the sentiment that he expressed this past Monday that we need to find a way to assist our small businesses.  After all, they continue to be the lifeblood of our economy and whether or not we will be able to avoid an economic catastrophe is largely dependent on our ability to lift these small companies out of the current malaise.  What Mr. Johnson is proposing makes perfect sense to me and is a far superior alternative to all of these ridiculous bailouts.  The problem is that most of the people in Washington have never run a business, have never had to meet a payroll and have no idea how most people live.   Unfortunately, in the current political environment I see very little chance that anything like eliminating the Capital Gains tax is likely to be discussed let alone enacted in this session of Congress.  A very worthy idea nonetheless!
