Our Choice was very informative, and the many pictures and summarized facts gave a good oveall picture of the climate changes our world is facing. The books goes over all the ways humans use energy, new technologies we can implement, living systems that are affected and have an effect on climate change, and what the growing human population, and especially Americans, can do to take care of our planet and ensure our own survival.
I am impressed with Al Gore and how he seems to have taken upon himself this enormous mission to try and save the planet by increasing awareness. It blows my mind that there plenty of people out there who refuse to believe that humans are effecting the weather or climate in any way. One only needs to look at the fact that cities are Hotter than countryside, simply because of the concrete that absorbs the sunlight. This is just one small example.
This book is not very intensively scientific, so for me, as someone who has studied many of the alternative technologies Al Gore brings up, I wanted it to be a little more in depth. But there are many references, including names of people and research institutes, that make further study easy if one is so motivated. The book provides a good overview, especially for one who may not already be educated in the climate change issue.
