Drinking pearl milk tea is one of those immediately-puts-a-smile-on-your-face treats. Okay, maybe for me it is. I personally love pearl drinks with all my heart.

Pearl milk tea is a tea beverage that has tapioca pearls in it. There are a variety of names for this delicious drink like Boba milk tea, Bubble milk tea, and other variations of the sort. Does it taste more like tea or milk? The opinion is purely beyond the one who drinks it. I know some people who don't like the actual pearls in the drink, and that's okay! There is always the option of ordering the drink with or without the pearls and from what I know, it doesn't tweaked the flavor at all.

There are a variety of different flavors ranging from coffee, black tea, pineapple, and even kumquat and green jelly. There's endless flavors and options for this amazing drink. A wonderful plus for the pearl milk tea is that the popularity is hugely rising, which has been a great result in more and more locations that actually serve the tea. So go out and try some!

I'm not much of a tea drinker, I must say, but after reading this, well you might hear a little whistle come out of my window now haha.

There a place next to Starbucks that served this stuff in my college town and I could NEVER decide which one I wanted.. (well I usually gravitated towards coffee cuz that's my biggest love in life...)...but when I did decide to go with the Milk Tea.. i always got the Taro flavored one..and I always got them without the tapioca cuz I didnt like them, plus I found out they are a RIDICULOUS amount of calories. So without the tapioca it is... it's still delish though!

The distinctive characteristic of bubble tea is the presence of chewy translucent balls of pearl tapioca (that sit at the bottom of the glass). Usually the pearls are "large pearl," larger than the "small pearl" that is customary in tapioca pudding. Cooked, large pearls have a diameter of at least 6 millimeters. Occasionally, "small pearl" tapioca is used. Both sizes of pearls are available in a variety of colors. The pearls are prepared by boiling for 25 minutes, until they are cooked thoroughly but have not lost pliancy, then cooled for 25 minutes. After cooking they last about 7 hours. The pearls have little taste, and are usually soaked in sugar or honey solutions.
