I'm an IT professional and spend most of my time in office while working on my PC. Due to busy schedule, you pass whole day sitting on chair. Things go bad when your tummy turns into a "GLOBE" and is noticiable by everyone.

Apart from your belly, you started feeling mental stress. Your mind works 24x7, even when you are not in office and don't get rest. Mental and Physical stress effects our body in equally manner. We are looking for ways that can help us in staying fit, healthy and in shape without putting much efforts.

Below are few ways which are useful and easy to adopt:

1. Manage your work
2. Eat healthy, on time. DO NOT SKIP your breakfast(you should start your day like a king)
3. Do Yoga/Meditation for Mental Stress relief
4. Go for evening walk
5. Drink lots of water
6. Go for laughter therapy

I spend most of my time in front of my laptop, too, and I'm trying not to develop -ahem- a "globe", so thanks for sharing these great tips, Aman.  What's laughter therapy though?  Anyhoo, I'm sure the followers of the Health Community will appreciate this! :)

About this topic

Wiki

Physical fitness comprises two related concepts: general fitness (a state of health and well-being) and specific fitness (a task-oriented definition based on the ability to perform specific aspects of sports or occupations).

In previous years, fitness was commonly defined as the capacity to carry out the day’s activities without undue fatigue. However, as automation increased leisure time, changes in lifestyles following the industrial revolution rendered this definition insufficient. These days, physical fitness is considered a measure of the body’s ability to function efficiently and effectively in work and leisure activities, to be healthy, to resist hypokinetic diseases, and to meet emergency situations.
