First off, when you try and use some new software you have to make sure that all of your other stuff(wires and electronics) is still operational. The only way to do that is, by trial and error and a lot of frustration, as I soon found out by myself. With no one to help me out, I had the distinct feeling that I was doing something wrong, well as it turned out I was not doing anything wrong. In fact I was doing everything right, it was my original video wires that were bad. They always give you the cheapest and thinnest wires when they come straight from the factory.

When I purchased this camera I had no idea that I would ever want to put the videos on my PC let alone the internet. But, when it finally came time to do it, I did not have the proper camera to do it easily, because by this time everything is now high definition. I needed a new camera by this time or a way to transfer my videos to the PC, and I found out that the easiest way to do that, is with the editing software called Dazzle. As long as your wires for operating this new software (the video cables)you will be good to go.

I found that there was a couple of versions and the cheapest one for fifty dollars was best deal for me. The other one was eighty dollars and it was for transferring high definition videos, all of my videos are regular and do not need to pay that extra fee for my camera. I found mine at Best Buy for only 50$, and once I found the place that sold me some new video cables this was a breeze to use.

Requirements
To be able to operate this you will have to have Windows 7, Windows Vista(SP2), Windows XP (SP3). You will also need Intel Pentium or an AMD Anthlon 1.8Ghz (2.4 Ghz or higher) processor, Intel Pentium HT, or AMD Anthlon 2.4 Ghz or 1.6 Ghz dual core required for Windows Vista, 1 GB system memory, DirectX 9 or 10 compatible graphics card  with 64 MB, 128 MB required on Vista, DirectX 9 or higher compatible sound card, 2 GB of disc space, DVD-ROM drive to install software.

Things that are optional are a CD burner and a DVD burner for creating discs. The hardware specs are video inputs are RCA jacks and s-video, audio inputs are stereo RCA jacks x2, Pc connection has to be high speed and be able to use a 2.o USB cable. You can use this with any video device that will allow you to attach an RCA composite jack or s-video cable.

Description
There is not much to this, what you should find inside the box is a disc that you will need to install first before plugging the Dazzle device in. This software is called Pinnacle Studio 12 and this will help you with burning videos to disc. This has a 6' USB cable attached to the end to allow you to plug this into your PC and keep it right next to you while you are using it. There are four plug ins (jacks) located on the front of this device and these include an s-video plug in, a red and white audio plug in, and an yellow video jack.

Also located on the face of this device is an LED light that will allow you to see that you are getting power to the device and will eliminate you wondering if that is one of your problems. If you are having problems. Along with loading you videos to your PC you will be able to be creative and with a simple drop and drag method and trimming and tweaking your videos you will be amazed at what you can do. You can also add to the music and special affects to create a fabulous video.

Once you have downloaded the software you will be able to upload your videos to you tube or send them to any iPod or PSP, you will also be able to view these on your TV if you have a newer one, and send them to all of your friends.

Experience
Once I had found the software it took me a while to figure out that it was my cables that were the problem. I would first get picture but no sound, then I would get picture and some sound, then I would get really low quality sound that you could barely hear. Once I replaced the cables, and I did find them at Radio Shack, the problem was solved and I was finally on my way.

I was able to upload my video to my PC in a matter of minutes and then put my daughter on you tube. Lilly Therault  singing might not seem like much to you but, it sure impressed her that I was able to upload this to the internet for her. Now she tells all her friends that she is on the internet. If you would like to check out the quality of the results just go to you tube and see for yourself. Just type in Lilly Therault and you can see that even I can do it.

Conclusion
I can highly recommend the use of this to save all of your 8mm tapes and vhs tapes, you will never lose another moment and you can now share it with the world if you wish. It only takes a matter of minutes to put in on your PC. It will take a few minutes to upload to You tube, but it is well worth the wait. 5 Stars for this hardware.
