"Long before there was writing, there was poetry" is how the first of the three CDs begins. And you hear Tennyson reading his work way back in the 1800s from some kind of wax things. Honestly, you hear 47 poets read 107 of their best poems.

If you're a poet or just love poetry, this amazing book and CD set will make you feel like you found The Holy Grail.

Some of the best readers include Dylan Thomas, Carl Sandburg, Edna Vincent Millet, Dorothy Parker, W.H. Auden, Elizabeth Bishop, a female poet named H.D. Actually Jack Kerouac was the best of the best with his reading with music. His reading was amazing!

I would recommend this book to everyone. It is important to keep these beautiful classic poems alive.
