The early Popeye the Sailor Man cartoon shorts are simply put, classics in early animation.  Mixing together fluid animation, humorous hand-to-hand combat, Popeye's mush-mouth humor, Wimpy's foolishness and cravings for hamburgers, and Olive Oyl's humorously-executed helplessness, these Popeye shorts are still as entertaining as they were back in the 30's.

Here's two of the best Popeye shorts from the 30's.
