Almost there...

I've been using pop-up Post-It note dispensers for awhile, and the typical design is geared towards a weighted table/desk top unit. This is my first experience with a wall mounted unit and I have to say that it's a mix of practical and impractical design.

First off, the pros:
-Makes use of cubicle walls and/or cubicle shelving in an office environment to save some room on the desk.
-Clean and simple design that won't clash too much with home office or kitchens (if kept by the phone.)
-Integrated pen/pencil holder.
-Relatively cheap compared to other pop-up Post-It dispensers at around $5 (Most others are around $9-12).

As for the cons, there is really only one main issue, but in my opinion it negates the main function of the dispenser which is the wall mounting. The set uses 3M Command 17203 Small and Medium Picture Hanging Strips which use a Velcro-like system that doesn't offer quite the amount of hold I'd prefer. The purpose of including these 3M connecting strips is most likely to give the option of taking down the dispenser to load it, but the lack of a really stable wall mount gives the set a cheaper feel. I'd rather use standard 3M wall mounting double sided adhesive strips, but that requires a separate purchase which dings the value of the set. Also, these adhesive strips really only work on flat hard surfaces, so those of us with cloth or fabric based cubicle walls at work will have to find another method of hanging the unit.

As far as the aesthetics of the unit, I think the color options are a wasted element as the base is dual colored (green, pink, or blue backing with a light gray front) with the chosen hues on the back of the unit. If you're going to wall mount the dispenser then you won't see the color.

At the end of the day, if you're looking for a way to get your Post-It notes off your desk or counter top, this is a cheap viable option, but you'll probably want to shop around for a different style of wall-mounting strips, which makes it less of a good value.

More Post-it Pop-up Notes Dispenser... reviews

Great idea from Post-It: You can mount this dispenser almost on any flat surface and it even has a space for a pen(not included.) The dispenser and the adhesive are held together by two tiny, interlocking pieces of Velcro. However, do not move it too many times as the adhesive "stickiness" will wear out little by little to the point where it will not stick anymore, so better find a good spot and stick with it!

This is a little more than being just another package for Post-Its. I like the z-fold style anyway, however I've always had a penchant for picking the wrong side of the fold (easily getting two pieces instead of the desired one). I know... my bad. But this solves that little vexation and makes for an attractive dispensing method.    I'm not overly wild about the velco/sticky base, but then I'm not forced to use it. Nice job though.

The Post-it Pop-up Notes Dispenser holds z-fold post-it notes and allows you to easily dispense them. It comes with Command Picture Hanging Strips to allow you to easily attach it to any smooth surface (I attached mine to my desk hutch). There is also a slot at the left of the dispenser to hold a pen.     The idea is that you could easily reach up and grab a post-it note when needed. Most of the time, however, when I go to grab a single post-it note, the entire pad comes out. …

When I received my Post-it Pop-up Notes Dispensers I first had to decide where to put them? I settled on one in the pantry for quick grocery and family notes and the other near the home desktop computer.    Both were easy enough to put up. I was surprised that I needed to wait 30 minutes or so after putting the sticky tabs on the wall, before I could attach the dispenser. But once the wait was over the tabs clicked together easily and it felt pretty secure. I added in a pen so …

Post-It Note Dispenser TL 480    A Great Product    Amos Lassen    I find it hard to imagine life without Post-It notes and now life is that much easier with this dispenses. There is even a place to put a pen. An added plus is that this model comes with dual lock strips …

I like to use post-it notes for various purposes, from self-reminders, through phone messages, to quick notes about something that is on my mind at the time and I might forget. However, my office desk is in a constant need of cleanup, and more often than not I fumble around to find my stack of post-it notes. This simple yet very effective way of dispensing them solves my problem perfectly. By putting the dispenser on the wall (or any other uncluttered vertical surface) I am sure that the post-it …
