Boston cop killed on the job comes back to Earth as a law enforcer to patrol for the dead who are still on Earth. Fun moments but not a lot of character, no original ideas and a plot too easy to see how things are layed out.

R.I.P.D. didn't have a chance.  Based on a rather unknown comic with a premise that isn't too different from what were already popular movies in Ghostbusters and Men In Black and both of those films are better.      R.I.P.D. focusses on Nick played by Ryan Reynolds playing a newly deceased Boston cop who was killed in the line of duty and on his way to the next life is given the choice of joining the "Rest In Peace Dept" who keep order on Earth when wayword …
