You cannot get to know about Richard Clayderman's music without knowing Ballade Pour Adeline to begin with. That essentially is his signature tune. The ballad was written by another French composer Paul de Senneville as a tribute to his daughter Adeline. That was back then in 1976. The album has since been sold in 38 countries, a record 22 million copies.
Richard Clayderman has since recorded 1200 melodies and is set to perform in Guangzhou Opera House this winter. Richard Clayderman is extremely popular in Asia and has been noted in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most successful pianist in the world. His original name is Philippe Pagès.
Here are more favorites pieces played by Richard Clayderman. Enjoy....
When listening to Clayderman, I often get the feeling that i get when I listened to the Theme from Young & The Restless (Nadia's Theme). I can't truly put my finger on it, but that's how it is. That was another great theme, like the ones from Casablanca. There are truly a great many excellent ballads from the 50s, 60s & 70s! Again, enjoy....
