My pile's cookin' on all four burners.

I have had a compost pile in my yard for years and the results have been mixed at best. I never bothered to "help it along" with a product like "Ringer 3050 Compost Plus". Recently, an opportunity came along to try a box of this product for free courtesy of the Amazon Vine program. I started using it a few weeks ago and I must tell you that to this point I have really been impressed.

In the past my compost pile just sort of sat there decomposing at a snail's pace. I guess I just wasn't giving it the attention that was required. Now each week after adding my yard and kitchen waste I add the prescribed cup of "Ringer 3050 Compost Plus" to the mix. I must tell you that the results have been sensational! Each time I turn my pile I can see the impact the product is having on my pile. I can see the steam and smell the product cooking. There are tons of worms at work to boot. I find that since I have started using this product I am paying more attention. I make sure the pile stays moist and turn it at least every other day. As a result I expect to have lots of great compost to add to our gardens this summer. A while back I discovered that you could add shredded paper to your compost pile. I have tried it a couple of times but it seemed to take forever to decompose. Given the activity in my pile these days I will not hesitate to add this material to the mix in the future. Any time I can reduce the waste I put out for the city to haul away I am very happy.

So there you have it! From what I have seen thus far "Ringer 3050 Compost Plus" does precisely what it says it will do. Unless something radically changes in the coming weeks and months I will now utilize this product on a regular basis. I guess that's what the Amazon Vine program is really all about.....getting you to try products you might not otherwise be familiar with. Highly recommended!

I guess I would qualify as a frustrated writer. My work requires very little writing and so since 1999 I have been writing reviews on non-fiction books and anthology CD's on amazon.com. I never could … more
