I had the displeasure of listening to this band a few times back in the early 2000's, and I really fucking hate this band. They market themselves as a bunch of punk rockers angry at the system, but they're really a bunch of whiney pop musicians whose music has zero point zero aggression or ferocity. If Simple Plan or Good Charlotte made albums with political rhetoric against the far-right and compared it to Rise Against's discography, I wouldn't tell the difference.
If you want real punk and/or music with a fierce political stance, immerse yourself in the prime works of Black Flag, the Dead Kennedys, the Romper Stomper soundtrack, Minor Threat, Electro Hippies, and Napalm Death.
