A Quick Tip by TheJohn

The Republican's biggest cheerleader for ANYTHING they do. Republicans could call for executing the illeagals in mass graves and he'd be for it if they said it. At least he has a nice voice for the radio.

I agree. I listen to Jason Lewis. He's much more of an independent voice and a breath of fresh air from the Republican Reptiles.

I wouldn't say I hate Rush, but everytime I have listened to him, I find that he has no way of really every questioning what the Republicans say or do and my example of executing all the illeagals is only meant to be an example, that he would be for it if Republicans said that it would be a good idea. Rush is a good example of arguing for something, and arguing for it effectively, much like Family Guy does. FG will get preachy and annoying with it's message while Rush seems to rubber stamp anything his side wants. For what it's worth I'm a conservative but not a Republican anymore since I don't think they've stood for conservatism in a while and are weakened after the Bush regime and the Democrats to me have no real power except for how much money and attention whatever special interest group gives them and I've been a registered independant for the longest time. I hope I haven't made any enemy of you Snootch, but Rush isn't an effective voice for the Republicans. He's a loud and popular voice, but not an effective one, at least as far as I'm concerned.

I assure you I'm not a radical leftist and I wouldn't call for mass executions. My "Rush condoning genocide" argument should be seen as how far Rush would support any Republican idea no matter how outlandish. NO Rush isn't a bad guy but there are no surprises to me when he never challenges them on anything the times I listen to him. I know who La Raza is but none of the others. I don't follow much news or politics and try and stay off the soapbox online. I don't think I'm out of line using Family Guy in refernse to Rush, in that FG is AWFUL at getting a message across and actually alienate those they support cause they do it so badly. It gets back to what I said above with Rush and not being surprised for not challenging Republicans more. IF we compare him to Michael Savage, a guy who says some really loaded stuff and is supremely conservative, he can at least call out the Right when they do something dumb, and before you ask, yes it's BS that he's been banned from the UK so that the list wasn't entirely full of terrorists. No, I assure you that if our unguarded borders do get overrun or when the terror cell explodes they're first dirty bomb, I'm not going to look at Rush.

Rush Limbaugh is nothing more than an oxycodone-guzzling windbag with a radio slot and uses it just to annoy and offend people.  Now I'm not one of these guys pushing for political correctness in entertainment (I despise PC enterertainment a lot), but the fact that Rush isn't the least bit entertaining is what turns a potentially amusing conservative media personality into an annoying, sanctimonious windbag stirring up the pot.      If I want to listen …

I don't always agree but Rush Limbaugh is a master at his craft.
In 1988 a brash, highly opinionated and exceptionally talented broadcaster burst onto the national scene and changed the face of radio in America.  For over a decade AM radio had been struggling mightily to find its niche and most of these stations were having great difficulty just  turning a profit.  Rush Limbaugh would change all of that.  In fact, Rush has been credited by many with saving AM radio.      I recall the first …

Our favorite neo-con, Rush Limbaugh says he's leaving the country-not!  I'm sure that got the attention of millions of Americans-and then some. ( Just last year, he threatened to leave New York if he had to pay more taxes. ) Why doesn't he ever act on his so-called threats?      This story seems to have taken a life of its own and morphed into something that has been taken so out of context.  Not that I’m a fan of Limbaugh but it started off as …

About this topic

Wiki

Rush Hudson Limbaugh III, born January 12, 1951, is an American radio host and conservative political commentator. Limbaugh is the host of The Rush Limbaugh Show, a nationally-syndicated talk-radio show that airs throughout the United States on Premiere Radio Networks.

Limbaugh has been credited with reviving AM radio in the United States, and was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 1993. The National Review magazine, in a 1993 cover story, called him "The Leader of the Opposition" during the Clinton administration. He is a bestselling author, with two titles on the New York Times Best Seller list in the 1990s.

Limbaugh's radio show airs weekdays for three hours daily, beginning at 12 noon Eastern time in the U.S. It also is carried worldwide over the Armed Forces Radio Network, and in some markets is carried on FM stations.

Radio broadcasting shifted from AM to FM in the late '70s because of the opportunity to broadcast music in stereo in FM, with better range and musical fidelity. Limbaugh's show was first nationally syndicated in August 1988, in a later stage of AM's decline. Limbaugh's popularity paved the way for other conservative talk radio programming to become commonplace on the AM radio. As of 2006[update], Arbitron ratings indicated that The Rush Limbaugh Show had a minimum weekly audience of 13.5 million listeners, making it the largest radio talk show audience in the United States. In March 2006, WBAL in Baltimore, MD became the first radio ...
