< read all 7 reviewsThis story seems to have taken a life of its own and morphed into something that has been taken so out of context. Not that I’m a fan of Limbaugh but it started off as him saying if health care reform is passed-he’s leaving the country. The correct version of that is he said if the health care reform bill is passed in this country, he would go to Costa Rica for medical care and still reside here. Costa Rica is a country that offers universal healthcare. We will see if he’s a man of his word or just expressing his distain for Obama’s policies. The GOP has told to start over on the health care reform bill because it would be a drain on our country’s already ailing economy. Is there really any easy way to do this? It’s clearly not a bipartisan effort and if we think there is already animosity between the two political parties-it will only become worse. It’s apparent that since the health care reform bill was in its early stages, it has been a thorn in the side of the conservatives. It’s a hotbed topic for discussion and debate.
The story with Rush Limbaugh being quoted saying that he will go to Costa Rica for medical care reminds me of the Michael Moore film, “Sicko” and the whole thing with Cuba’s health care system. How far would someone go to get universal healthcare in this country? This whole situation reminds me of watching a dog chase his tail, it’s going nowhere fast.
