Rock climbing, mountain hiking, spelunking, challenging oneself & overcoming obstacles, wild life viewing are but some of the activities undertaken by national parks’ visitors.
In this series of national parks, the approach taken is to interview the park rangers in each park and introduce the audience to the best activities to be had in each park. It showcased some of the most extraordinary places in United States of America. People and history are also highlighted here in contrast to North American National Parks which is a true delight for photography enthusiasts with its excellent visuals. If you’re into photography, do make sure you get a Blu-ray copy of that. While one focuses on people, movements and history behind the sceneries, the other focuses mainly on scenic landscapes and majestic vistas. Both are outstanding, depending on your preference, you may choose to watch one over the other. For me, they are both worthy of my time.
First National Park: Yellowstone. The super volcano (45 miles long x 35 miles wide) invites you for geyser gazing. It also offers a window into the middle of the Earth.
Hawaii Volcano N.P. with its constant lava flows offers an up close and personal experience of a birth in the making. Haleakala N.P. & Crater Lake N.P. are two other volcanoes which offer interesting activities.
Yosemite is where romance blooms. It is touted as the best place to tie the knot!
Grand Canyon N.P. is where once you’ve visited it leaves you with unforgettable and lasting impression. It is sensational and truly a magical experience.
Mount Rainier is where you’d head for challenging mountain climbing.
Mammoth Cave N.P. takes visitors to the depth of the earth and offers a view that’s been hidden for millions of years. It is the best place for spelunking. You'd also discover frozen Niagara and translucent fish which are the world's best kept secret. Ooops, it's not a secret anymore!
Death Valley N.P., the driest & hottest spot in the country. It is also the lowest place in North America with some 200ft below sea level.
Grand Teton N.P. offers best boating experience in its glacial lakes. Denali N.P. has the best ride in any national parks. Acadia N.P.: best Fall foliage. Capitol Reef N.P.: best kept secret. Water pocket folds can be observed here, in intimate terms.
