This little restaurant is right off the freeway, but not noticeable if you take the frontage road. The location has been many different types of restaurants, but hope this one stays. It is next to Tri Cities liquor. It is a small restaurant, probably around 7 square tables that seat 4. It is set up like a fast food restaurant where you go to the counter place your food order and sit down. They even have a drive through.
My husband and I went to Silva's Friday for dinner. We started off with the chips and salsa. Probably some of the best chips ever. They were warm and crunchy, not to thick and not too thin. The salsa is where "it's" at!! if you are not ready for "it", get ready. It is the type of hot salsa that you just can't stop eating, even though the more you eat the more your mouth burns! It was so good, I ordered a little carton to take home. For the entree, I ordered the taco salad and hubby had the chicken enchiladas. The taco salad had just a tad too many tortilla strips but overall it was a good salad. If you like bleu cheese, the bleu cheese vinagrette was very good. The chicken enchiladas were smothered with white cream sauce and came with beans and rice. Of course I had to taste them and by far the best I have had. I am not a big fan of refried beans with these sure were tasty!
This restaurant was so good, we went back Saturday (Neither of us wanted to cook) ! This time I had chicken enchiladas and Kevin had the chicken tamales. The chicken enchiladas (described above) were consistent with the flavor. The chicken tamales were not greasy and oily like others I have eaten. They were very flavorful for a tamale! HIghly recommend these tamales for any occasion! They also came with beans and rice.
The restaurant also has burgers and fries and grilled chicken burgers to provide food that anyone in your party will enjoy. Service is good. Food authentic. Then when you are done eating, you can go next door and pick up your favorite beverage and go home, relax and enjoy your full belly!
In this little Tri city area there must be 6 little mexican restaurants and this definitely exceeds them all.
