I have been a user of Site Build It! for around 4 years now although I did take a break for a while due to personal circumstances.
First of all I guess you might be asking, "What is Site Build It!" In short, it's a learning program that takes you from 0 - 100 if you're looking to set up your own business on the world wide web. There is an Action Guide that steps you through the necessary learning curve so that you don't lose your way as you brainstorm, blueprint, finalize, create content, attract traffic, and finally monetize your site.
Why do I love SBI? Well I'm not a tecchie - the complete opposite really. I had always wanted to go online with a couple of my ideas but whenever I looked into it I was completely put off by all the jargon and apparent knowledge I needed to have to make these things work for me. I just didn't have the time!
I have friends who have used other packages, some of which are cheaper, etc. than SBI, but for me they didn't give me what I needed to get started. Add to that, although they may be cheap to start with, my friends often told me how they needed to then purchase extra bandwidth, keyword solutions, SEO support, etc. and it just sounded like a big headache to me! I'm not knocking the other solutions by the way, it's just a case of horses for courses and I'm sure there are other people out there who may be exactly where I was a few years ago.
The biggest advantage to me of SBI? It takes away the need to have all this tech know how and does it for you. It's not that I'm without these tech necessities on my site, I just don't need to worry about programming and debugging etc. as this is done for me. I have all the tools I need to analyze what's going on with my site and lots of support in the forum when I have questions about how to proceed. Almost everything I need is under one roof and covered by the annual subscription of US$299.
Like I said, I know there are cheaper options out there but I wouldn't swap my SBI for anything else. I've built my site about Tokyo using their system and am getting ready to start my next site in the not too distant future. It's exciting to see my business dreams becoming a reality : )
Is SBI a GRQ scheme. Absolutely not. You work at your own pace and focus on your own goals. It's not easy though, at least it's not if you expect to throw up a page and the traffic will come to you. SBI is the complete opposite and if you are looking for a quick and easy option then SBI is not for you.
I'm in it for the longer term though and want to build a business that could, over time and with learning and implementation from my side, start to earn me some nice passive income. My current site is
TokyoTopia.com and you can see more about my story on my
About TokyoTopia page.
