Saving Space!

There isn't much to dislike when it comes to Leopard. It's an inexpensive upgrade, the new quicktime is great and it saves disk space! Also, I'm not sure how the old bootcamp was but I recently installed Windows 7 on my macbook and the installation process was simple and went well. The only thing I had a problem with was that I put the original Leopard OS X disk instead of the Snow Leopard one thinking that since it was an upgrade, it wouldn't accept the disk but it did. I had to do a little research on the net before I found that out.

All in all, definitely a good upgrade, I just noticed other little things like the wifi icon and instead of naming screenshots picture 1, picture 2 etc, it saves the date and time.

I'll definitely be using this until the next upgrade, whenever that is.

Snow Leopard
"      While Leopard was Apple's best operating system, Snow Leopard took everything people loved about it, kept it all in and vastly improved on it.  While you won't "see" any significant enhancements, your computer will most definitely feel them.  With Windows 7 coming out sometime in the near future, Apple did a very smart thing by building on what was already its best OS in Leopard, hopefully knocking down Microsoft for good.  While …

Happy with this transition. I did not encounter any installation problem at all. It took about 30 to 45 minutes. All my data are intact. Need to remember that it requires you to have at least 2 gigs of RAM - one thing that I forgot so I have to redo it until my additional memory came in from the mail.       It makes working on apps more snappy. Additional space is a much appreciated bonus. It freed up some gigs in my meager 80 gigs of hard drive memory.       …

Snow Leopard isn't a dramatic improvement over Leopard, but for the price it certainly isn't a bad idea. In addition to what you'll probably read in the other reviews, here are some things I've noticed:    1) It reduces the amount of memory needed for the OS by about 7 GB. Thus, I have an additional 7-8 GB on my hard drive that I can use for pictures and music. This is important for me since I have thousands of photos from my trips, and while I back them up I also like to keep …
