Get Creative for Spring Break, College Fashionistas!

Escaping from collegiate stress to a far-away location to relax and enjoy the sun’s warmth seems as if it would be nothing but peaceful and enjoyable for spring break….. until you start packing.  Packing will only remind you that:

1. You hate all of your spring and summer clothing from last year.

2. You don’t have the money to go buy a whole new wardrobe, because you had to spend $500 on books this semester.

3. You don't have enough room in your luggage to pack a different outfit for everything you do or every mood you could possibly be in.

So, what’s a College Fashionista to do? Get creative! Buy a few classic and versatile pieces that can be mixed and matched with accessories to create different looks for the different events of your vacation.

This cute and simple dress from J.Crew...

can work as a beach cover up for your fun and playful swimsuit (from Target)...

Product Image Mossimo® Black: Women's Twist Polka Dot Swimwear - Purple/White
and sunglasses (from fredflare.com),

or it can be dressed up with a funky pair of heels...

and a bold belt for night (Both from Forever 21)!

Enjoy the sun, and check out more spring break fashion tips at collegefashionista.com!

Cute stuff, Sammy!  I'm especially loving that J. Crew dress :)  Jersey knit dresses are a must!   I would also add Victoria's Secret to the list because when their bikinis go on clearance, it's actually cheaper than Target!  I agree -- buying classic and versatile pieces is the way to go because they're timeless, will go with almost everything, and it'll save you money!

With today's regulations and extra fees for luggage on airlines, it should come as a welcome change to know that Fashionistas out there get to pack sandals, sandals, and more sandals this coming Spring break.  These shoes take up little space and can be worn with bathing suits, shorts and tanks, and dresses for night time.  When traveling to Florida or Mexico for Spring Break 2010, it is more important to relax and to embrace the warm climate lifestyle, and as far as I'm concerned, …

Spring Break is one of the biggest highlights of most college student’s year. Most of us start the countdown as soon as school starts in January! The week before normally includes mid-terms and papers so pinning down a few Spring Break essentials is important to do now.   I know you won’t forget your bathing suit, but don’t forget a cover up. Victoria’s Secret has a few great cover-ups that could also double as a day dress for shopping or sightseeing.    …
