Fashionable Footwear for Spring Break

With today's regulations and extra fees for luggage on airlines, it should come as a welcome change to know that Fashionistas out there get to pack sandals, sandals, and more sandals this coming Spring break.  These shoes take up little space and can be worn with bathing suits, shorts and tanks, and dresses for night time.  When traveling to Florida or Mexico for Spring Break 2010, it is more important to relax and to embrace the warm climate lifestyle, and as far as I'm concerned, stilettos just don't do the trick.  College Fashionistas want to be comfortable while still looking fabulous on a student's budget, so here are a few of my picks for this year's much needed vacation (all choices from www.gojane.com).

I love the pop of color in this slide sandal, but the reason I chose it for here is because it is the perfect airport shoe.  You will have to remove your shoes when going through security and these slip off easily and fit in your allotted bin without any fuss.

I chose this pair simply because of my love for Sex and the City and their resemblance to the shoes that Samantha wears in the movie when making sushi for Smith.  I like how the fish bone design is a fun twist on the tropical theme.  Forget flowers and palm trees!

It's always a challenge to find green accessories, especially a green shoe.  These simple sandals are versatile as far as dressing up or down but also are the perfect way to celebrate St. Patty's day if you're on an island!

These are a bit heftier as far as packing goes, but if you have a little extra room toss in a pair of trendy wedge heels.  Again, these would be great with harem pants and a military inspired shirt for lunch and shopping but then can also dress up a mini dress for drinks and dancing.  The wedge heel is comfortable and much less treacherous than an stiletto heel.

Check out CollegeFashionista.com for some more great Spring Break Fashion ideas.  I will be spending my break in the mountains, dreaming of fun sandals and warm weather....

Escaping from collegiate stress to a far-away location to relax and enjoy the sun’s warmth seems as if it would be nothing but peaceful and enjoyable for spring break….. until you start packing.  Packing will only remind you that: 1. You hate all of your spring and summer clothing from last year. 2. You don’t have the money to go buy a whole new wardrobe, because you had to spend $500 on books this semester. 3. You don't have enough room in your luggage to pack a different …

Spring Break is one of the biggest highlights of most college student’s year. Most of us start the countdown as soon as school starts in January! The week before normally includes mid-terms and papers so pinning down a few Spring Break essentials is important to do now.   I know you won’t forget your bathing suit, but don’t forget a cover up. Victoria’s Secret has a few great cover-ups that could also double as a day dress for shopping or sightseeing.    …
