An Awesome Thermos!!

Stanley Sport 2-Quart Thermos

As long as I can remember my family has used Stanley thermoses. I remember my dad filling up his Stanley thermos every morning before heading for the woods. He worked in the woods running a Caterpillar bulldozer most of his life. This year when my dad was up early at while we were camping filling his thermos with coffee. I laughed as I seen his old thermos. That Stanley thermos is older than I am. I am thirty eight and he’s had his Stanley thermos as long as I have known him. We all drink a lot of coffee and always have. I have a large Stanley Sport 2-Quart Thermos. I have had mine for several years. Two quarts of coffee will last me all day and it’s always hot. My thermos has been put through hell. It went through a couple of years of logging when I was working in the woods. Then a year in Dugway, Utah while serving in the Army (Operation Noble Eagle). Lastly, a tour in Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom) where we survived Improvised Explosive Devises, sniper fire and mortar attacks. In fact it made it home in better shape than I did. Other than some new scratches it’s none for the worse. These days I use my Stanley thermos when I am camping, fishing, hunting or taking a road trip.

The Stanley thermos is great for keeping coffee hot for at least twenty hours. It will last several hours longer if you fill the thermos up with hot water and preheat it for about ten minutes before you pour in what ever hot beverage you like. It’s also very handy for hot chili, soups or chowders. This insulated thermos can also be used to keep your drinks cold for longs periods of time as well. When using the thermos to keep beverages cold just place cold ice water in the thermos for ten minutes before you place your cold beverage in the thermos. It’s keep your drinks hot or cold for twenty four hours. The Stanley thermos should be cleaned with soap and hot water. For better results and coffee stains soak stopper and cup overnight then wash. This product should not be placed in a dish washer. If you ever lose your cup or stopper you can purchase replacements from their website or other retail stores.

I have the Classic Stanley Sport 2-Quart Thermos. There are several types of Stanley thermoses. They have the Bolt, Outdoor and Classic series. There are several sizes and types in each series. I am very happy with my Stanley Sport 2-Quart Thermos. The thermos seems like it’s indestructible. There really isn’t a way to break one. The odds are that you’ll lose it before you ever break one. I have had two in my life and the first one I lost somewhere as a young yahoo. If I ever lose this one I would not hesitate to go buy anther one.

The quality of any Stanley thermos is outstanding. They are also very practical. Someone on the go could use these thermoses for food and drinks. If you spend much time in the outdoors for work or play you probably already have one. They’re also popular for use during sporting events. Stanley products have been around since 1913. Luxury hotels and resorts used their carafes in the 20’s & 30’s. Then the U.S. Air corps used their classic vacuum bottles on their B-17 bombers. Stanley has been around over 90 years because of their quality. I would recommend their thermoses to anyone looking for a quality thermos.
