Stop Pain is an excellent resource for dealing with the painful aspects of arthritis and diseases of the musculoskeleton. The book explains that wear and tear on the joints is due to the toxins in the environment, poor diet and a heavy viral load.
The book reviews the classic junk food stressors which breed inflammation. These include transfats, sugar, MSG and artificial sweeteners. Grain and gluten also make inflammation worse for an increasing number of people.
Good food choices include flaxseed oil, lentils, olive, walnut oil, borage oil, kale, bok choy and spinach. Examples of fine spices include ginger, tumeric, cayenne and garlic. All of these can play a role in reducing inflammation.
Omega 3s are found in salmon, tuna and sardines. The book cites important vitamin supplementation which includes Vitamin C,D and E. Fiber is also good to reduce inflammation. High fiber can be found in fruits, vegetables, beans and seeds.
Overall, this book would be an excellent resource to deal with pain constructively and forthrightly.
