This is one of my favorite books of all times. I read it for the first time when I was a teenager and became fascinated with Dean Koontz. I read all of his books in less than a year and this is definitely his best work. The way the characters are all strangers yet still interrelated and brought together is amazing. The writing style, in most of Dean Koontz's books is very descriptive, metaphorical, large vocabulary words that I often have to look up in the dictionary, yet still simple, fun, and easy to read. I would recommend this book to anyone who believes in fate, anyone who is looking for book that you can't put down. Although it is written in true Koontz fashion, it is till different and though it is fiction you feel like it is real. He even admits to being "not fully sane" while writing this extraordinary piece of work. ANyways, this is a book that is difficult to review just beacuse you do not want to give anything away. It is one that you have to read yourself to appreciate.
