While this game isn't worth going out and getting a 3DS for it, it was an enjoyable enough experience. Graphics wise, the levels look phenomenal and the 3D effect is used pretty well. Stage design can range from uninspired to crafty. Gameplay is standard Mario fare, jump on the enemies heads, defeat Bowser, and repeat. Most of the normal stages are quite easy, but when you unlock the special stages the difficulty ramps up, and if it wasn't for the special stages it would probably only take an experienced gamer a few hours tops to beat the game.

If you are a massive fan of Mario games this one is worth checking out, others may find the low difficulty a tad annoying.

I gave this a four, and even I think it's over-rated. Bad enough the game is farily easy. But they give you an invincible Tanooki suit if you die too much? That's just bullshit right there, and someone I know who beat the game was only able to do it with that. I can't respect that man. If it wasn't for the extra mission, I would have rated this lower.

Great QT, man. I don't have a 3DS, so I can't really test this game out, but I'll certainly take your advice into account over the fact that you even said the game itself isn't worth getting the 3DS for it. For the time being, I may stick with SMB3 for some tricky-as-hell Mario goodness.

King Koopa (Bowser) is at it again. The villain kidnaps Princess Peach and it's up to the super plumber to save her. -summary      The Super Mario franchise might be the only series of games to re-use the exact same story over and over and get away with it. There would be some small details tossed out there, still, it's the same old story. So why people seem to never get bored of it? Well, it's the game play. I will admit, I did take a hiatus from the Mario games …

The following review can be found on my video games blog by clicking here      It’s no secret that Nintendo has had a very rough time releasing the Nintendo 3DS this year. Stemming back to its less than stellar launch with no real AAA titles things only got worse from there with a baron release schedule and bad press associated with health warnings it seemed Nintendo needed an ace up its sleeve. So it seems only fitting that the game to do that job is one featuring the …

Back in the days of the original Gameboy, the Super Mario Lands were hailed for being relatively different from the usual Mario experience. Sure you were still stomping and such, but you faced wildly different enemies and got some very different power ups. Super Mario 3D Land is not a sequel to those games in anyway. But like the Super Mario Land games, it takes a different approach to the Mario formula while keeping in sync with what has made it successful. Here the change is mostly …

If it wasn't for the more difficult second quest after you complete the game, I would definitely like it a lot less. Over the last few years, Mario games have gotten way too easy, and this one is no exception. However, it makes up for it in some ways with excellent controls and amazing graphics. Like a majority of Nintendo's new wave of games, this feels more oriented towards kids and not the serious gamer. Not exactly a bad thing, but if you're looking for a real challenge then …
