It's a sad day when it's the last Thursday episode of Survivor and with Heroes vs Villains coming to an end on Sunday we only have one more episode to go. It's been reality tv gold so far and I really do hope the finale puts the icing on the cake. After the last Tribal Council where Danielle left, Russell had some explaining to do. Parvati was immediately worried as she talked to Jerri about the vote. Jerri claims that Russell threatened her, which he kind of did, but she still made the decision. Russell saw this as Parvati confirming her closeness with Danielle and believed 100% it was the perfect move to get her out. One this that vote did do though we push Sandra closer to Parvati, meaning she now has someone to help her get to the end.
The family reward challenge resurfaced after taking a break last season as the cast learned of this through a very high-tech Treemail. Their treemail arrived via a product placement phone and at the beach Jeff continued his Palm pitch. There the final six met their family, hugged it out and played a water throwing contest. It wasn't as touching as normal to see some of the family members as hardly any were emotional. Sandra was the most emotional of all though as her uncle ran out of the jungle. Her mother passed away a week before the show started and when I heard "my uncles here because my mother passed away", I had flashbacks of Johnny Fairplay's now infamous prank. Luckily Sandra wasn't pulling our legs and her uncle was at least fun to watch.
Although it looked like Russell and his wife, he has a wife? what about the snuggling with Parvati? were going to win it all, Jerri came out, with her sister, last minute to pull through. She could take two people with her and she chose Parvati and Sandra. This didn't sit well with Russell who immediatly began working on Colby and Rupert to get the girls out. Funny thing was, he wanted Parvati gone, not Jerri. The two Heroes immediately agreed to go to final three with Russell. It's funny though considering the fight Russell and Rupert had only a few days before and Rupert believing Russell's "word" after he broke his swear that he made on his children.
For their reward the girls and friends headed to the blow-holes of Samoa. There they threw coconuts into the holes to shoot into the air and just had a fun time. It was great seeing some of the landscape of Samoa once again, since all this strategy this season really didn't give it the time it deserves. At their reward dinner Jerri was worried that Russell would now want her out since she didn't bring him. Parvati and Sandra showed their new bond by claiming to protect Jerri, who they now need. Problem is that Jerri is still on Russell's hook and she's on their tightly. It was night time when the girls returned and with only Rupert being up, Jerri couldn't talk to Russell. As all were in bed, Rupert began his crazy cave-man antics and starting chopping and splitting wood. At 2 o'clock in the morning. This kept everyone, especially Jerri, up but it at least gave her a chance to talk to Russell. Or should I say him talk to her.
Russell immediately told Jerri that he wasn't mad with her and that she had to stay loyal. He wants Parvati out don't forget and ensuring that he controls Jerri's vote ensures that Parvati would go home. The two made up through their night time talk but the next day held new challenges. The Immunity Challenge was a rehash from Survivor Gabon. They had to hold two pegs against a board, using only the bottom of their hands. The last person standing, or rather holding, would win. Colby and Sandra dropped out almost immediately. Seriously, is Colby trying to punk us all? He SUCKS this season. After that Russell dropped followed by a very upset Jerri, leaving once again Rupert and Parvati. Both adjusted several times and where on the brink of the losing it but Rupert lost it first, allowing Parvati to win yet another Immunity necklace. Looks good on her this season.
Back at camp Russell was ready to jump ship with the guys already and headed back to his Villain ladies. They didn't seem to want him though as Sandra talked to Rupert, telling him that she wanted Russell going. Rupert played Candice and went straight to Russell, outing Sandra yet again. This time Russell wasn't playing games and the first thing he told Sandra was "are you with me or against me?". He's pulling out a play of Boston Rob's playbook and I'm not liking it. Sandra flat out said that she is against him, causing both her and Parvati to crack up. Jerri was cracking up as well, in the brain. She hates that everyone is flipping but she's the one not in control. Russell then wanted Sandra gone but I doubt Jerri would have that. Problem was that Rupert really wanted her gone now, guess their buddy-buddyness from the Pearl Islands didn't last after the 39 days.
Tribal Council wasn't that interesting as Jeff rehashed the Russell/Sandra fight and Rupert basically tried to sucker Russell in by playing to his one goal: be the top of the Villains. Parvati knew what he was doing and called him out on it, which killed the mood quickly and shot us right to the vote. After all were in, Sandra pulled the hidden immunity idol out of her bra and handed it to Jeff without him finishing his "if anyone has the...." statement. Some were shocked AKA those not in the know as Sandra wasn't going home anyway. Rupert got three votes and that was enough, sending him out of the jungle for a third time and not a happy camper. He starred at Russell before leaving, it was humorous but seriously he should have seen it coming.
It's down to one more episode, who do you want to see win? Leave us a comment and let us know. Personally I want Sandra to win it yet again. I think we all know Colby's out of it but you never know I guess.
