The Amazing Race ended where it all began: the USA. The three final teams were all very different. We have Caite and Brent who were there basically because Caite wanted to "prove to the world that she was intelligent". Cort and Jet were there to experience life since they are from a small town.... yeah. And Jordan and Dan were there to fulfill Jordan's dream of just being on the race. Their final destination city was San Francisco, California and all were happy to be heading home to the USA. They all met up at the airport where their tickets wouldn't be handed out until the next morning. It should have been a simple affair but Jordan placed his bag in front of the Cowboys, moving them up in line from third to second. Jet and Cord didn't like that too much and actually threatened to get violent. It was just odd considering they have been mild temper the entire race and let that get to them.

Jordan and Dan made yet another move while on the plan and got themselves moved up to first class. There they could get off the plan probably a good ten minutes before the other two and it gave them a great head start. It also helped that they had the best of the three taxi drivers as they arrived at their first location without anyone catching up. The Cowboys were the closest to the Jordan and Dan while Caite and Brent hit some bad luck as their driver wasn't sure where he was going. The two freaked out that he didn't speak English and their luck from the last leg was running out quickly. Dan and Jordan deciphered their clue quickly and were off to Coite Tower for the Road Block. Here one team member had to repel up the tower to grab the clue.

While Dan was climbing up the tower, the Cowboys arrived and Cord started to make up way up as well. This set Jordan on a "go bro" stream and I'm sure the two said "bro" more times in this single episode then they have the entire season. Dan completed the task and the two were off to the Lucas Arts film studio while Cord finished after and they were off as well. Brent and Caite arrived without seeing either of the two teams and were greatly behind, freaking out more then ever. At the Lucas Film studio, teams were met by Darth Vader and several storm troopers. After being led through the studio, they arrived at their task: move through a virtual maze. It's probably the coolest challenge the show has ever done. While one team member wore a special suit, the other would move them through a virtual maze that only they could see. The one in the suit would have to move as if they were actually seeing the walls, but they couldn't.

It was a great show of team work for this task and it's something that should have been incorporated much more often throughout the entire season. This one is surely being known for it's lack of actual hard tasks. The Star Wars one at least kind of made up for it. Jordan was in the suit while Dan was the director. The two worked well together after making an initial mistake as they remained calm. Well until the Cowboys showed up and Cord started screaming moves so loudly that Jordan was hearing them. This was all happening before Jet even had his suit on yet. After getting to the end of the maze, Dan saw several words spiraling around the screen. Jordan had to spin in order for Dan to read them and while standing in Jet's way, Jordan got very very dizzy. It was humorous to see Jet standing there, waiting for Jordan to move even though the two were technically in a large open room.

After Jordan spun and spun, Dan got the clue and they were off. The Cowboys finished as well but Cord could not figure out how to read the spiral clue, allowing Brent and Caite to catch up and finish only seconds after them. They were out of the race though following that task as they forgot their money in the building, making it a race between Jet/Cord and Dan/Jordan. Their next task was to find a bar and haul a chest. The name on the chest was their next location and after lugging the thing through the streets of San Francisco both teams found the American Band building, at different times though. Dan and Jordan arrived first and thanks to his Amazing Race knowledge, Jordan had the order that people were eliminated written down. This allowed them to finish quickly and they were off to the final Pit Stop. Problem was they couldn't find a taxi and it allowed the Cowboys to get to the location, finish the task and they were off. I know this was all editing, but at least it made it seem tense as the two were 'close' to the finish.

In the end Jordan's dream came true as he and Dan finished the Amazing Race in first place. All those eliminated seemed happy that the brothers won and they were all happy to see the Cowboys come in second. Brent and Caite arrived third and all clapped, except for Carol and Brandy. They were obviously not happy to see the two and their feud continued as they were given air time. Brandy lashed out at Caite for U-Turning them. Saying that they weren't the strongest and that they were only taken out because Caite wanted to be the last female in the end. I think Caite agreed with her but still fought back as the show tried to capitalize on it's best story-line of the season. Even though it wasn't all that credible. We also got to hear from Jeff and Jordan as Jeff stated that he was done with Reality TV. I highly doubt that as I'm sure Big Brother will gladly have him back ASAP. Well that end the Amazing Race 16. It wasn't the greatest but it wasn't the worst either. There were some great parts to the show, I just hope they fix the problems next season.

Great review! I was really rooting for the Cowboys, but overall a pretty good season and finale.

This season, The Amazing Race has taken us to many different places all around the world. We've seen the racers travel through South America, Germany, France, Malaysia, and China just to name a few. Throughout all these different locations, the million dollar prize was on the minds of all 22 participants. Over the past couple of months, we have seen these eleven teams of two give it their all to stay alive in this competition. Along the way, eight teams fell to the wayside and …

Pretty great season. Bummed that those funny and cute cowboys didn't win, but still very entertaining.
